UPDATE: What has been going on?

It has nearly been a year since I have last posted on this blog. There has been SO many things going on in the past year and even now. Read more of this post if you are interested!!

I started this blog when I was a little girl, back in 2013, where everyone was kind of getting into blogging, and I thought it would be a good hobby as a lil teen. However, over the past few years, I have grown less attached to this blog/ not fully invested into it as I should have, and I do apologise over that. I felt a bit self-conscious, particularly in this current day where blogging is so popular and so much competition. But, who cares? I mean, I have been thinking that this should not be a competition, but somewhere to write down my general thoughts and just talk to the outside world.

So, what has been going on?

I am currently in university, studying BA in politics and I am enjoying the course, experimenting with different topics and modules I have not learnt before. Last year, I decided to take a gap year, after trying university in Scotland, which I figured, did not work for me for personal reasons. I highly recommend going into a gap year if you want a break from education and if you were burnt out from studying in general. I decided to pick myself up and try out different jobs, particularly into retail to get some experience in the general field. Retail experience is crazy and very difficult and it made me a tougher person, with different variety of invaluable skills. That year was rebuilding myself and figuring out what I wanted to do as a person. Going into university the year after, was the best decision. I love academic work, and having to study something I am incredibly passionate about and did not want to close that book of education yet.

I am living out for university, in halls. Such a crazy experience being away from home and getting some independence without my parents cooking for me. I have also made some friends both in my accommodation and on my course. It is a learning process, and university is not for everyone. I don't particularly go out drinking 24/7 like a stereotypical student and I have enjoyed being with people but also my own company. I am also in a (long-distance?) relationship (not really long-distance) but its 2.5 hours away with my boyfriend, Haroon, whom I have been dating for three (!!!) years.

I hope you guys enjoyed this read. I'm back and trying to post more content on this blog. I'm determined to get back into blogging a bit more, since I have a lot of free time at uni.
